Depending on the product and the supplier, our timber is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-profit organization that promotes forest management in environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable ways.
FSC develops standards, performs independent audits and certifies enterprises which satisfy a certain set of requirements. Certified enterprises may sell timber with FSC claims.
A certified supply chain ensures timber product traceability all the way from the forest to the final consumer. The certificate testifies that raw materials for certified wood products have originated in a forest managed in a sustainable way.
If a wood product, including timber, has been certified, it is possible to track its progress through all stages of the supply chain.
